Stan has been playing music off and on for about 40 years as a hobby and part-time performer.

He currently plays the mountain dulcimer, mandolin, finger style and flat pick guitar, as well as occasional tenor banjo, harmonica, bodhran, and spoons. He also composes tunes and topical songs on string instruments.

Johanna (“Jo”) started by singing folk songs in various languages learned during her  childhood in the Netherlands and Africa and picked up basic recorder skills along the way. After meeting Stan in Texas, she began playing mountain dulcimer and guitar.

She enjoys taking existing tunes and altering the words to fit the occasion.
